The making of any documentary is a long road, and a lot of work has already been done laying the foundation for this one. A very important step is obviously setting the shooting dates. We will begin principle photography August 2012. We will be hitting the road and traveling around Ontario interviewing a number of people involved in this issue. So the clock is officially ticking.

NAB is the National Association of Broadcasters, and each year they hold a very large convention in Las Vegas. It is an awesome opportunity to be able to play with all of the new gear that is being released. It is essentially a film geek’s heaven.
This is the third time that I’ve attended the conference. Just arrived last night, and am excited to see what new toys I will get to check out. Unfortunately this will be a very short trip, as I have to head back in a couple of days to head out on the road to shoot a documentary; but I will take in everything I can while I’m here.
Tonight is the Red users party which is always fun. They have been rumoring some big announcements, so I will find out later what they have in store.
So I’m happy to announce an exciting project on the horizon for Red Salt Productions. It is a feature-length documentary that will begin principle summer 2012. Due to the fact that it is project that is in pre-production, I can’t release too many details yet. All I will say for now is the working title is “Nuclear Hope”. This is the single largest film project that I have undertaken. There are a lot of things that are going to need to fall into place before this becomes a reality, but things are moving along well so far.
